Mike has worked in the mental and behavioral health field for 16 years. For the past 13 years he has been a director of a residential treatment center for girls ages 13-18. He has been the program director, clinical director, and interim executive director during that time. When looking at behavioral health Mike believes in a total wellness approach. One needs to look at the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of the person to make lasting changes. Mike’s background compliments his philosophy when working with individuals as he has been a personal fitness trainer, was a college athlete, mental coach for elite and Olympic level athletes in his private practice.  As director of the girl’s program, he developed a variety of workshops for thousands of students and their families from around the world.  He has extensive experience with depression, ADHD, anxiety, bi-polar, low self-esteem, extreme shame, defiance, body image, substance abuse, self-harm, addiction, conflict in relationships, trauma, and adoption/attachment.

Mike is a sought after presenter on various topics such as stress management, shame resilience, communication, leadership, forgiveness, listening, blame cycle, relationship building, personality types, power of habits, and compassion/caring.  We are happy to have his experience to add to the talent of the Homeward Bound team.

In his spare time Mikes loves to date his wife, read, play basketball, tennis, golf, racquetball, ping pong and spend time with his kids as they perform, dance, and play various sports.
